Process Review

Summary

Deecon were engaged by Antin Infrastructure Partners to undertake an evaluation of SNRG’s processes. A three-workstream approach was adopted to conduct the task: Process Review, Supply Chain Analysis and Systems Validation. Deecon engaged with key stakeholders across SNRG and their supply chain, conducting 12 workshops on the efficiency state of each workstream. The team developed 8 detailed process maps, and identified pain points within each process. The project concluded with the delivery of a Final Report, including 25 recommendations to maximise efficiency of present and future operations.

Situation & Approach

Deecon were engaged by Antin Infrastructure Partners to conduct an in-depth evaluation of SNRG’s processes. The analysis sought to provide SNRG with valuable insights designed to effectively deliver an anticipated surge in projects in 2024.

Deecon adopted a three-workstream approach to carry out the task. This included a Process Review, a Supply Chain Analysis and a Systems Validation.

The objective of the Process Review (Workstream 1 – WS1) was to understand the present and future operating requirements of the business and develop strategic and tactical recommendations accordingly. To do so, the team analysed SNRG’s operational processes by developing detailed process maps, which were validated by key stakeholders. Overall, 4 quick wins and 5 strategic improvements were suggested to address bottlenecks in document optimisation, front-end screening, process formalisation, lessons learnt, resourcing and legal expertise.

The Supply Chain Analysis (Workstream 2 – WS2) aimed to examine SNRG’s procurement processes and their fit for current and future work volumes. The team conducted workshops with SNRG’s main supply chain partner, Q Cells, and key internal stakeholders. The analysis resulted in the generation of 2 tactical and 6 strategic recommendations to improve governance, productivity, efficiency, data flows and pipeline creation in supply chain activities.

The purpose of the Systems Validation (Workstream 3 – WS3) was to review SNRG’s incumbent systems to identify areas for efficiency optimisation. The team identified a total of 8 recommendations, 5 tactical and 3 strategic, to tackle inefficiencies in data management, systems expertise, systems design, user permissions and systems integration. Deecon also presented a proposal to conduct an optimisation exercise with SNRG to improve their Monday.com functionality and operational usage.
