Commercial Assurance

Summary

Deecon were engaged by G.Network to establish and operate a Commercial Assurance function.

Situation & Approach

G.Network had reestablished their supply chain, for the ongoing MDU Pre-wire and Remediation programmes, under a new contracting methodology and required a commercial function to ensure governance and control was in place. Deecon were onboarded to provide advice and to establish commercial templates and processes which would help each programme succeed. 

Through initial stakeholder workshops, Deecon reviewed the current commercial practices and identified key pain points within current processes. Deecon then developed effective process to enable sustainable output and delivery for the condensed team. 

Once processes had been established, Deecon engaged with the contractors and third-party suppliers to steer future commercial requirements and establish governance. 

Deecon also provided additional resource to G.Network to support with commercial process integration onto Salesforce. Salesforce was set to be an integral part of any changes to the commercial process. The combined team have now established all commercial processes onto Salesforce and they can be used by all parties. 

Deecon provide weekly reporting to the Operational Committee within G.Network to ensure consistency updates and commercial transparency. Deecon also support cash flow reporting, budget tracking and risk reporting to a variety of business actors. Deecon also prepare monthly progress reporting for Executive members as well as providing Ad-hoc reporting support to wider teams.  

Deecon continue to optimise business processes and templates to ensure ongoing value add to G.Network.
