Workflow Management Systems
Summary
Deecon worked to identify opportunities for efficiencies in the workflow between business stakeholders and systems development squads.
Situation & Approach
Deecon was engaged by CityFibre to review its current workflow management system to Identify existing systems gaps, highlight spare capacity, uncover any issues and areas of inefficiencies. Deecon conducted independent workshops with both internal and external stakeholders
These sessions were designed to determine whether current processes aligned with Industry best practice and to subsequently provided relevant recommendations on how to improve efficiency. The subsequent phase was to put forth recommendation to address critical functional elements and produce an implementation plan. We were awarded the implementation phase where we supported CItyFibre internal team for the design and deployment of new modules to improve the workflow management systems in line with the recommendation made. We participated in the development of the Project Initiation Document. Deecon conducted the feasibility study to inform the PID and captured all key elements including problem statement and project objective, project scope, benefits, expected key outcomes, lead & lag indicators and other project management procedures. We tracked the progress of the project against the approved PID through the implementation phase. Deecon upgraded previous workflow management system through integration of custom-made modules and improved visibility of deliverables across the business via a new governance framework. Additionally, Deecon led the User Acceptance Training and ensured KPIs are in place to track performance benefits.
